Naturalux BENEFITS

Better Focus & Concentration

Classroom lighting affects student performance

It’s no secret that students have long had issues concentrating in the classroom. The physical environment of the classroom is a major contributor to student performance and classroom lighting plays an important role.

Autism and Classroom Lighting

Fewer Headaches & Migraines

Classroom lighting should be soft and natural

Easily eliminate the harsh glare that can lead to fluorescent light headaches. NaturaLux fluorescent light filters block 100% of the glare and produces a clean white light.

When there is glare, your eyes must work harder to compensate. These over-worked eyes can be susceptible to visual fatigue and eyestrain.

Natural Lighting for Windowless Classrooms

Fluorescent light filters for classrooms improve the learning environment

The school year runs through the time period with the least amount of available sunlight. Our NaturaLux™ fluorescent light filters create full-spectrum light without the use of expensive full spectrum light bulbs or sun lamps.

Result: more exposure to healthy light when your body and mind need it most. This exposure will help regulate sleeping patterns and improve mood.

Improve mood, focus and sleep cycles

Classroom lighting can affect hormones responsible for circadian rhythm

There is a tiny gland in our brains, called the pineal gland, which regulates the production of the hormones called melatonin and serotonin.

These hormones are crucial to regulating our sleep cycles. Exposure to natural sunlight helps the pineal gland regulate the production of these vital sleep hormones.

Our Blog Posts on Classroom Lights

Today’s rigid school schedules requiring teenagers to be in class early in the morning causes them to miss the essential morning light needed to stimulate the circadian system, which regulates body temperature, alertness, appetite, hormones and sleep patterns.
